two week ago I bought Asus EeePC 1005HA. Last week I ordered the 2GB 800 Mhz memory and received it. Today, I replaced the 1 GB with 2GB without any problem. It took me about 10 minutes or so. . After I installed the new 2GB, turned on the computer, it still shows “. 99 GB of RAM” under My Computer in System information. I even reinstalled the memory. It still shows, “. 99 GB of RAM” (I turned off and restarted the netbook, still no change. AM I SUPPOSE TO DO ANYTHING ELSE? I thought the system should detect the updated memory?? ANY SUGGESTION? THANKS.

Works as advertised. No problems. A bit pricier than the competition so 4 out of 5 stars.

A fine product I’m sure, but it is NOT for the Samsung N310. Just go to the Crucial website and you can easily find out which RAM is appropriate (and more importantly, guaranteed) for your computer.

I bought the ASUS 1000HE Netbook. There seems to be a lot of contraversey with upgrading the memory to 2GB with 800mhz PC6400 vs the existing 667 mhz. Does anyone know if it will damage the unit. I have the intentions of playing some online games and it was suggested this upgrade to handle it. I fear making this worse, yet heard its beneficial for processing speed and better operating conditions. If anyone has the answer, please advise before I purchase the upgraded memory.
